Texas health and human services- Blindness, Education, screening and Treatment (BEST) programFree vision screenings and financial assistance to texas residents for medically urgent eye treatments. Conditions that qualify are commonly diabetic retinopathy, retinal deteachment, glaucoma
Texas Lion’s ClubOffers financial assistance for eye exams, glasses, or hearing aids. Website is very vague, may need to contact a local chapter for specific details
Texas Talking book programProvides free library services mailed to participant’s homes. Offer digital audio, Braille, and large print.
Can rent a playback machine that allows someone to listen to audiobooks; this is a good option if an individual would like a audio version of a bible
US Currency Reader ProgramProvides blind and visually impaired individuals with free device called an iBill. This device allows individuals to identify US currency.,A%20battery%2C%20which%20is%20included.
